Canceling DoorDash Orders in 2 Ways

1. Canceling Order Through the Phone

To cancel your order through your phone using the DoorDash app, follow these simple steps:

  1. Find the Orders tab on the toolbar at the bottom of your page.
  2. Click on the Orders tab and choose the live order you want to cancel.
  3. Click on the Help; you will be able to find the option on the top right-hand corner of the page.
  4. The Help menu will show you various options; click on Cancel Order. Alternatively, you can also cancel the order by accessing the Order Details section.   
  5. Follow the directions on the screen to complete the cancellation process.

Getting a Refund From DoorDash: Everything To Know

The quicker you cancel your order, the greater the chance of getting a full refund. Here’s how your order status can determine if you will receive full, partial, or no money (or credits) back.

Full Refund

You are eligible for a full refund if the restaurant has not accepted your order and a “Dasher” is yet to be assigned. So, naturally, you will have to be pretty quick to cancel for a full refund.

Partial Refund

If the restaurant has accepted your order or a Dasher has been assigned to deliver it, you can only get a partial refund. DoorDash will have to pay either the Dasher or the restaurant in such a case. Thus, you can only receive a percentage of your total payment as a refund.

No Refund
